    Insurance

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

    • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
    • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
    • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
    • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

I accept the following forms of insurance:

    • Blue Cross Blue Shield
    • Ambetter
    • Qualchoice
    • United Health Care/Optum

    Payment

I accept cash, debit cards, and all major credit cards as forms of payment. I will keep a card on file so that you don’t need to provide payment information each session.

    Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged $50 for late cancelation (less than 24 hours of appointment) or $100 for missed appointments.

    Other Common Questions:

What if my insurance doesn’t cover therapy?

That’s okay! If you would like to see me even though I am not on your insurance, I can provide specialized receipts (called “superbills”) that you can submit to your insurance provider. If the services are accepted by your insurance, they would then reimburse you at their out-of-network rate.

Why would I want to pay out of pocket?

Paying out of pocket can mean a greater personal investment in your therapy, which can lead to getting more out of it. For some, this investment may not be feasible – in which case, i can help you find alternatives.

However, there are also some advantages to consider if you do not go through insurance. For example, paying out of pocket means that your therapy experience is more private – none of your records, diagnostic information, or authorization for services must go through insurance.
